I spent the summer of 2021 interning at Harvard’s Digital Buddhist Resource Center (BDRC) founded by Mr. E. Gene Smith. I worked with my mentor AChung in the preservation project for ancient texts sent from the frontline archaeologists in Northern India. Our responsibilities include cleaning and collating the texts, digitalizing the pages, and sorting them onto the BDRC database. Some of the oldest pieces we worked with could be dated back to the 13th Century and were incredibly delicate. We strove to ensure that these long-buried pieces of history can be seen by the wider world freely.
